poor baby. If killed me when I found a few of my birds dead after a massive storm that knocked over a small tree into the yard. They got trapped. That same day I found two wet, cold, mud covered hatchlings that the hen had hidden under a piece of plywood I set up as a shade. They lived. The mamma died protecting them from the storm.
I'll try to find a pic of the babies.

Here they are. Baby boy and Baby girl. I stand outside and call and they come running. BB will go to a new home next weekend and baby girl will be with me for a while.

Yes, from what I have read on multiple chicken sites everything holds temp more stable than Lg, esp if it's the 9300.

Fantastic! That's great news cuz I just got one, the 1583 though

Since I have a new Incubator coming, I'm going to have to try it out. I guess count me in.
Just looked on Craigslist and there are people maybe an hour from here offering fertile eggs so I'll try some local eggs out in my new incubator. Crossing my fingers for a better hatch rate next time

I dont know if I am qualified to say anything yet as I am only on day 6, but SO FAR (I have plenty of time to have to change my mind) my LG 9200, still air, has held temps and humidity wonderfully. Again, I may end up retracting this later if the temp spikes, but my neighbor has had many sucsessful hatches in this bator. Just wanted to put this out here. :)

My LG has done decent for me so far. I have added a fan to it and also added a digital thermostat. Has a temp variance of maybe 2-3 degrees. have it set to 99.5 and seems to work perefectly. It was trial and error for a bit but on my own eggs I can usually get 80-90 percent hatch rates now.
