Whew ! Finally caught up ! Been out since Sunday. Ended up in the hospital Sunday night with appendicitis, yuck. Felt terrible. They took it out and repaired my herniated navel and let me come home last night. My belly button hurts like crazy, especially when i cough (smoker here). BUT i'm home, on the mend, and back on BYC trying to win a sign. But don't tell LocalYokel. I bet he thinks i gave up.

System works tons better actually. Thought I was lactose intolerant but it was my gallbladder causing problems the whole time. Have to take it easy with what I eat, but no big issues.

Glad it worked for you! I am pretty positive mine needs to come out. I eat fatty foods and I get that can't even stand up straight stomach pain!

And good morning!!

After a two hour outage, the power came on last night shortly after I posted. I went and checked on the chicks, they were as energetic as ever. My incubator temp was only down to 86 which is fine. I was happy to see the brinsea held the temp so well. Gawd I LOVE THAT INCUBATOR. I have had it two years, and it really has never let me down!!
I do sometimes have issues with the humidity pump, I think the cord or the actual plug in to the bator is touchy, but after the power came on it started running right away.

First blue egg from the ladies I got back in October/November.
They laid the first week, then just stopped.
I put them in with my RIR, and today...




I'm leaving the 4 black hens in with the RIRs, so this time will have EEs, After I set those, I will try to get them their own section with their blue rooster.
