Ah, I misunderstood. I thought it was Lili that pecked you, not the chick. Chicks peck to establish dominance too. Just tap her on the top of her head with your finger and it acts as a peck to correct her behavior. It's worked for me.
I feed Flockraiser as well, and have never had cocci in my flock. But we are in a dry climate too, cocci is more of an issue in a damp climate.
Thank you. By the way I do have cocci issues here. I live in Florida, very humid a mostly wet in summer. What is flockraiser? Is it expensive? I give corid the first week, keep them clean, change water daily, change bedding every 3 to 4 days and I still lose half of my babies. I also have flow pox which I have been able to get under control.
The flow pox starts showing at week 5, I have those with vitamins and electrolytes and I put iodine on the bumps when they show. I was losing half before now I have managed to not loose any to flow pox.
Wish I could say the same with cocci.
