The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

Ill be putting my goose eggs in today. I don't expect them to hatch as I can never seem to hatch them. But will also be putting chicken eggs in march 5th. The eggs ill be putting in are my winning eggs that I won from the best hatch rate from the new years day hatch a long. :)

Some places use broodies to hatch goose eggs.

Good luck on the eggs from the NYD contest!

Looks fun!! Don't think I'll be able to hatch though as we just got chickens in October so they're only 17 weeks old and my parents don't really want more.

But maybe next year I can convince them or get ducks and join... :p

That will be my first hatch with an incubator instead of a broody hen. My brinsea mini eco incubator should be here Saturday. I will hopefully be getting eggs from a local breeder next Friday, if I can get a hold of her. Whenever I call her her phone goes to voice mail....So I hope I'll have eggs from her. If not I'll use my own.

So the new brooder I'd almost done. I ran out of hardware cloth to do the sides. So I'm going to lowes today to get some and a few other things to hang lights and waters. I happy with it I guess doing it by myself was annoying. But for not having all the right power tools I needed. I think it came out pretty good. It rained last night the inside is bone dry so happy about that. But I feel like iv done better just getting old I guess. But I think the 3 week olds will love it.

Love this! Showing my DH. Yep!
