The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

Thanks everyone! Yes, we love Dr.bronners lavender bath soap! :) Getting him to sleep is not the problem, it's him waking up several times wanting to nurse! And really, at one year old he should be sleeping through the night! Haha I think I'm soft because I know he is my last. :(

My son was the same way. Put him to bed at 7. Then he woke up at 9:30, midnight, and 2:30. And I had to get up for work at that time at 3:30. I eventually had enough. Look up "The Ferber method". Alter to what you are comfortable with. But forewarning, if you don't curb it while you can, you're in it for the long haul. My son, now 5, only wakes up once a night, but comes into bed with me and hubby every night. My daughter, who's two, sleeps soundlessly through the night.

And does this look right I think it does and it's a still air so it should be at 101 right

Looks right to me, I have the same one...just got it about 2 weeks ago. I set it up and adjusted the temp and watched it for 3 days to make sure it was constant and on day 3 I started adding water until I got the humidity to about 40 percent. I also purchased the hygrometer/thermometer combo with mine. Had my 13 eggs in for 8 days now and temp is always within 1 degree of 99.5

Good luck!

Broodies staying strong. May even have a third in my favorite silkie Ginger, too bad she couldn't get with the program several days ago lol. Then again I wouldn't have been able to give her Minnie's eggs then. Haven't given them yet, they're in the house in a carton turning. No development in any of Minnie's eggs that I candled. Brought six in this afternoon which makes me think maybe the eggs are also from my self blue oegb pullet, Crocket. One of the eggs got tossed as its aircell was totally blown and huge my guess is that ones been out there for a while and may have partially frozen. Crocket isn't as good of quality her comb is a little wonky but she's beautiful all the same. Need to look back further BC I think I said Minnie only had four unbroken eggs until she layed one and as I said there was six out there this evening.

ETA just looked back and indeed she did only have five so someone else is adding to the nest and I'm guessing Crocket.

Will have to try and see who's eggs are who's. I opened the egg that was cracked under Minnie and sure enough it was fertile. :) Not sure who the father is but I'm guessing Mickey although we do have two oegb cockerals the girls don't care for Nugget as much and he prefers to try and woo the lf ladies lol

I am having the hardest time being patient!!!! I set my eggs on Saturday at 8pm. This is my first time incubating, and I am so anxious to see if anything is developing. Ahhhhhh.

It gets no better with how ever many hatches you have done! :lau

Silvers...

Oh... Hi, again! :frow

I filed a claim on the ones I got for this hatch along that were demolished.  I got back $50.00 of the $78.00 they cost. I would never, ever, ever buy from or recommend that seller. There is a site "Bad Egg Good Egg" where you can rate sellers and product. IMO reputation is all a seller really has and a good reputation is based on under promising and over delivering or at least pretending to be concerned about their product. Integrity is important.

Hope your mom gets her money back.
