That makes sense! Someone asked what the others were and she said those were all pullets too and then "yeah, we got a lot in". Personally I think the person meant what breeds since they were getting Jersey Giants and it was her and 2 daughters hah but ah well.

We are due for some snow this weekend.  I don't imagine it will stick for long.  And, it looks like we get some moisture for a few days in a row.  That's ok, we are still needing it.

I'm pretty tried. I've been out of the house all morning getting feed and then going to the swap. No one that wanted my Silkie eggs made it in time to catch me, so I still have them. I might throw them in the old bator since it's holding temp like a champ... and has been this whole time. I didn't come out of the swap empty handed, though. I brought home 2 cute little black Silkie chicks. I missed out on the Serama chicks. They were already sold by the time I got there. I'll get some pics up in a bit.

Candled all 48 eggs, 6 were duds with a few questionable ones I left in. My count is down to 42! I'm amazed!
