The 8th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!

That will be fine.  Collecting up to a week will work fine.  Store them on the counter in an egg carton, wide end up.  Prop one corner and then change to the other corner a few times a day.

Do you think changing the corner twice a day would work? I am only home for about 4 hours a day before i wake up and go to bed

Hi everyone. After trying a cheap incubator I found it was way too hot for the chicken eggs. Does anyone have experience with this incubator?
It's a Brinsea mini advanced.

An odd number of times per day would be best. This way they are not sat in the same position over night when least turning accurs. Rather like if you are hand turning during incubation.

That's a shame on the first incubator :(

I have the Brinsea octagon advance but it's the same control panel as the mini advance. Brinsea are known for being reliable, good at holding temp/humidity.

Yeah I think I'm going to join in and hatch some ducklings (I mean, I was going to hatch 'em anyway, I might as well join in the Hatch-a-long.)
What? No chicken eggs?

Quote: Not sure, I don't have a basement. I can tell you I have awful results from the fridge in times I've been desperate and grabbed some out of the fridge. I usually store mine on my kitchen counter, which is in the low to mid 60's usually.

Quote: Change it when you get home, and again before you go to bed. The idea is that they spend the longest time (night time) on the opposite side each night. There are times that we all forget too, so I don't know how important it is.

I have a larger Brinsea and love it. I know a lot of people have used those incubators in the past Easter hatches.
