I found some Speckled Sussex eggs on ebay. It's really torturous to NOT order them but I don't have an incubator yet so I gotta cool it lol but only $6 starting bid (although $15.50 shipping but that's not too bad) for 10+ but I think they include 12 and their birds are really pretty and and... looking at eggs was a bad idea

Yep, I bid and won some bantam game eggs and they are holding off shipping for me so they will be fresh for the HAL.

I also found some cool barnyard mix ones for pretty reasonable and BLRWs and Orpingtons and tons more lol

Yep, I bid and won some bantam game eggs and they are holding off shipping for me so they will be fresh for the HAL.

Dutch and Nankins are very nice pretty birds, Nankins are on the watch list, I had some and let a friend talk me out of them have regretted it ever since. Gotta get more of those babies, where can you get Dutch from?

Yes it can be! The Orpingtons were like gold laced i think and gorgeous but too expensive for my first hatch or like ever haha

I have taken the motto "If in doubt Don't leave out!" So if I'm not sure that it's not good I will leave it in as long as there are no cracks or seepage, and if I'm worried I use cupcake papers just in case of an explosion I'm thinking about something to separate and protect each individual egg in my home made incubator

And this is why I found my Dutch bantam had abandoned he nest with the cold wet weather and rescued the eggs. With just a slight chance that any at all would hatch I placed them in the incubator and now it's 2am and what greets me but one little chick from the ice cold eggs not even in the incubator a day!! And it's chirping like crazy and looks healthy!!!
