hurry up momma wants to see ya!!

ok you are going to think I"m crazy I am but that is besides the point, when my eggs are in the bator I have a chicken song I made up and sing to them, it started as an experiment anyway, when they hatch and I sing that song or they hear my voice they come running, soooo cute and then it carries over to adults, so I don't have an auto turner and when it's time to turn I sing, try it, it is so cute and to see their little heads pop up in recognition it's great.

I'll be setting some eggs for the hatch a long. I'll be doing Call eggs for sure, and maybe some chicken eggs. Also hoping to do goose eggs but they're still not laying yet so I don't have much hope I'll be able to set them for the hatch a long, unless they start laying in the next three days.

It can take up to 24 hours from pip to hatch, so just breathe and do like I do - check the incubator every 5 minutes to see if it is starting to zip!

X'2..can take time..and yes, I'm with ya on the hatching sooooo many chicks through the years. Never never gets old!

I should stop looking at eggs now. I really should. I fell in love with Isabel Orps as a result.

I saw those on the MPC site (I think it was MPC) and they are GORGEOUS birds. The egg cost + shipping cost is too prohibitive for me considering the low hatch rate of shipped eggs, but I seriously thought about it!
