I'm actually somewhat relieved...lol. Too many things going on...I've got to be away again tomorrow and Wednesday...and there's hardly time to get the outdoor brooder ready with this weekend being booked with upcoming pre-wedding events. I'm also just getting over being sick and my arm is still on the mend.

I've got a couple dozen or so viable eggs in the incubator right now. I'll have 2 weeks to get ready for it with a much better timeline and more time to get my indoor brooding area ready.

Still here rooting for everyone's eggs and chicks!!!

Candled mine and only one is viable. Ugh. Mottled Ameraucana
So sorry, to be so hopeful, and be disappointed really sucks. Are yours shipped eggs or from your own hens? Mine are shipped and of 21 I got 2 that might hatch, the rest are blood rings and spinning air cells. What happened to yours?

Out of the 28 eggs I started with I have 18 that will make it to lock down. Easter egger, wellsummer, marans, and mixed breed eggs. I usually have a better fertility ratio, I think my main roo is getting old. I took my turner out, so now I just wait for day 18 AND my eggs that I just bought to arrive next week so I can start all over. I noticed today all my PM's about hatching eggs, chicks etc are ALL during the month of April. Must be a spring fever that happens to me hahahhah!!

Incubator one went on lockdown today. I haven't candled since day ten so I have no idea what's going on in there. I'm doing the fingers crossed method. 39 eggs in this one. Incubator two goes into lockdown tomorrow. Here we go, guys...it's getting down to the wire!

I understand the relief!

It can be a bit of work taking care of a lot of chicks. For this hatch, I will be raising them to 6 weeks old for people that do not want to brood them until they go outside.
