The 8th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!

Ok, I just got an update on a chick I hatched and sold back in November of last year. The chick had a slight crook in her neck, which she thankfully out grew. Now she is a gorgeous hen. So, I just had to share. The adult picture is not mine. Her chicken keeper sent it to me in an update.

This little blue chick...

Turned into this...

Trying to gather info On why this chick keeps rolling on its back. The other chicks were pecking it and sitting on it. Its pretty lethargic right now. We placed it in a cup in the incubator hoping it will perk up and to keep from getting more beat up. Ive just never seen this. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Flipping over like that usually indicates a deficiency. Try poly vi sol drops without iron.

I soo agree with this. You would be shocked at how well the poly vi works on this!! A drop.. a few times a day. Put the baby back in a cup, so the others won't get to it.

the Dickie bator holds 324  chicken eggs.   I swore I'd keep the numbers down this year.   I hatch from Febuary until   November last year.
It will probably get fired up  but have to keep the numbers down.....I safe this time just now putting pens of the pure breds back together.

Nice, not as good as the 600 that some hold, but still good.
