Thanks for the advice!
Although I thought they both had all of that? Of course the 1588 you have to buy a turner but the Incuview is built in I think. But I know they both have fans and digital controls, though of course I'm gonna buy a separate thermometer/hygrometer just in case.
Maybe that's what you mean? Does the Brinsea not require a separate one?
Duckling is doing better. It can stand up now. All of the yolk looks to have been absorbed. It still has some goop stuck to it, but not enough to hinder its movement. We're calling it Sticky.
I found a manuel online for the cabinet incubator im going to use and it is a GQF model #1202. It holds 216 chicken eggs. Thats alot of chicks
How cuteI have like 20 pages to read and catch up on! I'm taking an A&P course and it's so much work. Plus, I wasted ALL of the day on Friday waiting for chicks to arrive at a grain store an hour from my house. Long story, but the main point is the postal service completely sucks at delivering chicks. Anyway, out of my first hatch attempt of 3 RIR eggs, I had one early quitter, one failure to pip egg death, and one cute little chick! She was lonely so I had to get her a friend, or 3! Now I've got the RIR, a Silver Laced Red Wyandotte, A Blue Cochin, and a Speckled Sussex in the brooder. I am using an "electric hen" (I hate that term) for the first time. I always used a heat lamp in the past, but I feel like this is a little more natural for them. The SLRW cheeps a lot. The loud, sad cheeping. What can I do to cheer her up? Here's Munckin, the Cochin.Ok... off to catch up on the conversation! I missed you guys all weekend!

I'm behind here, so you may have already bought an incubator, but the answer is "no" they don't all have all of the features. some incubators are "still air" so there's no fan and you need to incubate at a higher temp. some don't have turners, which you know, I'm guessing all have thermometers, but not all have hygrometers. The Mini Advance (mine) does not. The upgraded version (Mini Advance II) does, but it's like $100 more. I bought a $6 hygrometer at Petco, and it seems pretty accurate, but I still wish I had just gotten the Advance II because the hygrometer I bought takes up space in an already small environment.
