I don't know if this is the place to post this, but I set 10 Pekin Duck eggs and 6 Red Bourbon Turkey eggs on the 18th.

I have read all the posts with interest and I am talking about chickens, not ducks. Totally understand everyone's different opinions and I will try to rehome any excess boys that hatch before taking other measures if I have to.
I just left it but did completely turn the eggs when I candled. It was turning them it was just hard to tell.
How are your air cells? That's what concerned me on that style turner, bad air cells on shipped eggs are best left upright. I figure if I ever get Shipped eggs I'll just put them in egg cartons and just tip the incubator back and forth.
OK, looking for some advice.
Despite the fact I've been planning this for about two months, I was just notified today that a tentative family vacation is in the works for Easter weekend. I want to be part of this very badly, but I'm trying to figure out how to make this work. Do you ever leave during lockdown? We would leave the day lockdown begins, so I'd put them in lockdown that morning and get back the day they should begin hatching. I'd have the petsitter check in on them, but is it foolish of me to even try juggling a vacation while chicks are in lockdown? Or am I being to protective about this whole thing? Thanks in advance.
