The 8th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!

Can I join I just set at 12:30 PM today of my own eggs. 9 of them are Blue Tailed Buff Japanese and 2 are my Bantam Easter Egger and 1 of my Ohiki and 1 Bantam Japanese from my mixed Japanese pen. And just added 4 Bantam Cochin eggs at 1:55 pm.


 
I'm in. Broody starting eggs today and incubator is full.

I set 32 eggs. 12 of my own Backyard mix - I don't have high hope of those, The rest are from TJChickens - 9 Golden Sebright, 3 Mille Fleur D'Uccle, 7 Porcelain D'Uccle and 1 Joe egg - d'uccle mix egg.

I have confirmed the new Brinsea is off 2 degrees. So, I adjusted the temp, and set these eggs. In one of my other Brinseas I locked down 39 of 63 eggs. Shipping was BRUTAL on these eggs - 1 or 2 extra sorting stations here in CA (all unneeded). Once those hatch (or not hatch), I'll clean it and move the Easter HAL eggs over.

I'm out of ovations...glad you got them set. TJ chicks...will be small..right? :D Sounds like you have a nice combination going on!

I will update my numbers once I have them ALL in. No use re-adjusting..and then readjusting again...lol.

Major happenings in three weeks apparently...so planning for them to hatch after the celebratory craziness.

For the Easter Hatchalong I today placed 12 barnyard mix eggs from my friend and 11 barnyard mix eggs from my birds total 23 chicken eggs set today

(also 4 turkeys and 4 goose but they won't be part of the Easter Hatchalong)
 
So, I saw a facebook post today from my first EHAL 5 years ago. I had set 67 eggs in my poor little Hovabator 1602N.

I learned a valuable lesson and bought another one last year.
