Happy chooks I set 13 eggs under my super broody!!

I've never had the chance to enter before, as we don't have an incubator, and it JUST SO HAPPENS our hen went broody and has 5 eggs under her that are set for the day before Easter to hatch! So, I would like to join here!

"Fat Momma" was a surrogate broody last year, and successfully hatched 4 healthy Khaki Campbell ducklings. This year, she's at it again, and this time we have fertile chicken eggs to hatch!

Glad she went broody for you so you could join us!

Adding to my total. My last box of eggs arrived just barely in time, so I have also set
6 large fowl white faced black spanish
2 Gold Cuckoo Marans
2 black Copper Marans
and 2 Dominique

So My OLD total was 77, my NEW total is 89

Yay! One of these days, I'm gonna get some speckled sussex. Such pretty birds! Where did your welsummers come from?

I'm on day 20 of my latest hatch and I have 6 Speckled Sussex that made it to lockdown and I THINK one of those was the second to hatch. I wrote on one side of the egg, and on the majority, the writing is on the side facing down. So, I"m guessing on what's pipping and what's hatching. I'll know once I clear the hatched eggs. They are BEAUTIFUL birds. I hope I have at least 1 pullet that hatches!!!

Well, I didn't know if I would be in or not, and I haven't posted since I set the eggs, but I am in. I set 10 Magpie duck eggs and 5 Royal Palm turkey eggs at noon on 3/18. Not too sure what the fertility is on them, but I'm going to candle for the first time tonight. So, hopefully after the candling, I will still be in with y'all.
