The adventures of Barbara (BR)

Loved the last one!

"Barbara did not know what an "incoopbator" was, but it sounded important."

Hope your chickies hatch! Congrats!

Play Time!

Barbara and all the Big Chickie Girls got to free range today! It was the annual January thaw in Michigan, which sometimes only lasts 15 minutes or so. The girls were so happy! They ran and fluttered all over the yard, avoiding the white patches that made their feet cold. The Food Man put out lots of scratch and the girls had a party!

In the Main Coop, the Food Lady was taking care of the Baby Chickies and the eggs in the "incoopbator". She was working at the "cooputer" when she felt like she was being watched. Shivers ran up her spine and she got "People Pimples" on her arms. When she turned around, she met the Evil Eyes face to face!

Those little people are really going to have things sorted out by the time they are allowed out of prison!

Beautiful eggs, Fuffy! Marjorie's is especially nice, but are you sure it's not a golf ball?

No, sorry - Just bad photography!

LOL

I'm so glad I found this thread. I've been reading all of Barbara's adventures to my own crew.

Bettie, my GLW was not too interested, she is never much interested in people things.

Penny, my Red Sussex, and Peach, my Buff Sussex, listened politely and then when about looking for more treats. (All those people sounds usually end in treats, don't they).

But C.C. (stands for crazy chicken), really took to hearing about Barbara. After all, she thought she was a Barred Rock pullet until everyone pointed out that her comb grew in funny. Now they tell her she is some fancy sounding hen, a Dominique, but she know in her heart she is still a BR. Since hearing all about Barbara, she has been trying really hard to get out and start her own adventures. Unfortunate there is still too much of that cold, white stuff around the coop.

Thanks for making our day on many occasions!!!
