My Wyandottes are blue laced reds from Jerry Foley. He is right in your backyard. His wife is on BYC, name is Mrs. Turbo. I have 4 pullets just started laying, and I have 2 more pullets and a HUGE cockerel that are 2 months behind the first group. I'm anxious to hatch out some babies from them, but the cockerel has a lot to learn. He will not need the girls to stand in a hole!

Changes in the Coop

The Food Man had been making a terrible racket in the big coop all day. He was pounding and sawing a drilling big chunks of wood.

Barbara had no way of knowing what it was all about, but when it was time for bed, she toddled into the coop and the roost was CHANGED! Oh, no! Now the Ameraucana sisters would have room to perch RIGHT NEXT to Barbara!

Luckily, the three silver sisters were still stupidly hiding their heads in the nest boxes at night, but Miss Uppity Blue Egg was sitting right in Barbara’s old spot. Barbara gave Miss Blue Egg the stink eye, meaning, "I will peck you really hard if you do not move." Miss Blue Egg did not want to risk another of Barbara’s hard pecks, so she hopped down and acted like she was really hungry and gorged herself at the feeder.

Barbara settled onto her roost and smiled. Life was good.
