Barbara is baaaack!
The Food Man let everyone out this morning and gave them a big scoop of scratch out in the grass. Barbara and Leroy were right in the middle of the crowd, pecking up bits of scratch as fast as they could. Barbara noticed that some of the treats had been blown into the jail pen, so she jumped up on the pen and tightrope walked again until she found a spot to jump down in. Wendy followed her and they cleaned up the jail pen in short order.
It was a good thing that the Food People had not put the netting over the jail pen. One of the Silly Ameraucana sisters tried to get back in the jail pen a few days after she moved out and got caught in the netting. She nearly had a nervous breakdown, although it might have been hard to tell if she had.
Barbara has been hanging with Leroy. She does not often go to visit the cochin coop unless they have treats. Besides, there are lots of little roosters out there and they think Barbara is very attractive. The little pullets are not quite grown up enough for them yet, and they cry and run like babies when the little roosters try to romance them. When Barbara goes out to see the cochins, all the Little Boys tag team her and take turns. They are way too eager and not romantic enough. Leroy understands the importance of snuggling, so Barbara prefers his maturity. Besides, he has a cute manly round butt!
Walter is so cute he does look cuddly. Poor Barbara. She must be suffering form post traumatic stress syndrome. Hopefully she feels better.
