The African and Chinese goose thread!!


Forgive the red eye in the picture, her eyes are blue. My first broody girl this year, a young Embden hen. She is last years hatch probably June.. Also her first stash of eggs. Dad is my BB (Big Boy) and he is sure guarding his little lady.
Chinese and Buff are both showing breeding pattern but no eggs yet.

I feel you need to read the posts other folks thats have worked towards hatching geese. there are no shortcuts. Gosling and goose eggs need to follow my original post and links from so many others that keep them. Every one has different methods for hatching. I can't add more to whats been suggested.
There are so many folks that's already offered help, just search it on google. I have shared with you all I know.

She is beautiful! I can't wait for my Elizabeth to start laying and go broody. But my gander hasn't done any mating yet either, so incubating would be pointless right now.
