His knob has noticeably grown from the last pictures.
How long do knobs grow for?

Usually they stop growing around 2-4 years and reach full size.
Some say the knobs grow all their lives but extremely slowly.
Your gander will get a way bigger knob and going into his second year when he's about 16-18 months he should have a large knob and after that it will grow a tiny bit more for another few months.

But they only mate in water right? And I am always around when they go swimming.

Do you have any idea how much bigger it will get? Will Elizabeth's knob get much bigger than it is now?

Yes since they aren't even a year old their knobs will grow fastest after 10 months of age and then stops around 2 and a half years but some can grow till they are 4 years

Yes her knob will grow a little more but not as big as your males knob.
Just to let you know geese prefer mating near or in water but a lot of the time they will mate in an open field as some of mine do.
They will mate anywhere they feel comfortable not just in water.

So the fast growth will stop soon. I'm going to open up her egg (she laid another today) and see if it is fertile. It should be a dot with a circle around it if it is fertile right?

Thanks! I have an issue. His sister got taken by a coyote. We put them all in before dusk and have a tall fence. Midday a coyote came in our yard after the chickens. It wasn't even scared of my husband....

Anyway... We picked up a Toulouse his age for him. Guess what...the toulouse rejected the gander and took up a relationship with a young rooster. She follows him everywhere...

I feel bad for my Gander. He's imprinted on me. I think he needs anther buddy. The toulouse pulled out his nick feathers :(

Thoughts?
