Okay. Can domesticated greylag breeds communicate very well with the domestic swan geese?I bet it won't be much longer. Geese really bond. My ganders all have their favorite hens, and they are the dominant ones of course. With just the pair your fella just isn't feeling pushed as mine are with a larger flock. We have 15 geese, there are 3 ganders for the 3 breeds. My Embden and American Buffs have really comingled, The Chinese also have seemed to stay with the breed. Theres a different language, Buffs and Embden are more similar than Chinese.
My only thought, can you separate them a week? That will really encourage your gander. Geese need companionship.
This picture is perfect He should be very close to mount her any day now since he's big enough. Since there isn't competition with any other gander he will take his time. This is normal so don't worry about it. Nice looking gander too!
What does it mean if my male goose that has never been able to breed has to bulges on his under side.
Thank you. I guess I just have to be patient! This picture is perfect

My gander had little fat bulges between his legs when he was younger, but he is more fit now and doesn't have them. What does it mean if my male goose that has never been able to breed has to bulges on his under side.
he,is I checked he has a u know whatTry to take a picture and post. May not be a gander.
When my female was in her first year breeding age, she would literally throw herself on my older gander. Once Elizabeth starts that he'll get the idea.
