The African and Chinese goose thread!!

I want a house goose.
Is 2-3 weeks still ok for taming and keeping as house goose? Or will it be too attached to humans? It'd have a kennel at night to keep noise down
I sold a gosling to a woman in NJ at 3 weeks old and she was worried it would not imprint on her. I told her do not worry because I had kept the gosling in my bathroom and still had him in there. But I had worked with the gosling all the time from birth.
If you only keep the gosling around you so it can imprint on you it should be OK. All you can do is try it and see how it works. Good Luck.

Its been a while since I posted. My Gus & Greta are now 4 months old. Boy has Gus changed lol he used to be very attached to me and would basically demand to be held . He would come up and nudge me until I picked him up them he would fall asleep in my arms. Now he is all about his mini flock ( 2 geese, 4 ducks). He is the Alpha and is deffinitly acting the part. He doesn't allow anyone in the pool with him and chases anyone (bird or human) for any reason. Of course us humans stand our ground and he just honks and walks away. He doesn't do it to me though, mostly to my husband and kids.

Here are some pics from this morning. I had everyone penned this morning so I could do well being checks. Normally they free range all day.

Of course the pool stayed clean for oh 30 seconds lol
