She is a graceful flier for sure, lovely goose!I posted this on the Minnesota threads, but I want you guys to see this too. This is Elizabeth flying.![]()
Thank you! When we got them as goslings, I figured at most they would fly 5 to 10 feet, but she has gone over a half mile now, and 50 feet in the air! When spring comes, I can take longer walks with her and she can fly farther. She is a graceful flier for sure, lovely goose!
I completely agree you have to protect yourselves from this dog. I know this is not enjoyable for you, have been through it myself with a baby goat. The dog grabbed his snout, drug him out between the gate and fencepost, and killed him. My dad not only saw it, but the dog turned and went after dad. He had to pelt it with rocks to chase it away. Any unconfined dog can become another persons predator.Okay I have been Grooming Dogs for over 43 years it is in FACT a Pitbull! I have nothing against the breed just IDIOTS owning them!!!!! Since this paticular dog has threatened me and our guests as well as my husband on several occasions we have looked our fill! As soon as we get 3 pictures off his property and turn them over to Animal Control he will loose his dog, something we have desperatley tried to avoid so Please don't think we are enjoying this!!

That's early! My goose hen was hatched in the middle of June, is she old enough to be laying?Embden hens are all laying. My Chinese are definitely laying too! Geez I need better temps so all these eggs don't freeze! This next week is terrible looking at the forecast. I guess I will be setting eggs so I don't lose the goslings. I was hopeful my ladies would wait for spring. I have an order of 90 gosling from our vet by early summer. So far my Buffs aren't but am sure they will be very soon.
