I don't have geese now - just this one that we rescued last week. Her mate was killed on a busy road and a neighbor had posted about her needing a home on Craigslist. I happened to see the ad and we went and picked her up. We have named her "Highway" and she seems to be settling in alright with our chickens and guinea hens, horses and guardian dogs. She was laying eggs and has laid another huge egg here since she arrived a few days ago. I threw the eggs in the incubator but her mate was killed a few weeks ago so I doubt they are fertile eggs. I am currently incubating some other goose eggs, so maybe she will take to them once they hatch and can go outside. I'm assuming she is a Toulouse goose. ...? I have no history on her other than the neighbors who listed her said they just "showed up" in their area and hung around for a few months before the male was killed. No idea on her age either. Is there any way to tell their age?
