The African and Chinese goose thread!!

Okay, I have a pair of African geese, Izzy and Shakes. They were last springs hatch and this is my first pair. I raise them with my hodge podge gang of ducks. Everyone gets along Swimmingly (pardon the pun) but my male (Izzy) is a bit of a horny fella. He has been trying to mate with the different ducks, since Shakes has not yet come into season. I do discourage that behavior but now it seems that with breeding season coming fast I'm wondering if I should try to separate the two from everybody else to give them a chance to bond or is it a lost cause since he has tried to mate with the Pekins. Looking for guidance from the well experienced Geese lovers

Ok,I noticed my first mini goose fight today.I'm about 95% sure olive oil is a gander. They were have standoffs, and occasionally olive oil got brave tried biting, but soon would jump back and continue the stand off, they did this about 4 or 5 times today.Popeye was not scared,he was ready for anything. Looks like i'm gonna have to find another goose somewhere that is positive goose, before Olive oil and Popeye draw the line.

I noticed Olive oil KEPT following our gigantic pekins around,I swear he is trying to make them his lovers, and seems like it's his way of backing off for awhile, but once he gets tired of following the ducks around and chasing them (He was not biting he just KEPT following them......),he went back and tried for the female.Breeding season seems difficult, they will not go in their pen anymore because olive oil keeps following the ducks around and they all 3 wanna stick together, accept olive oil,the other geese are like pretty much irrelevant when he gets with those ducks.Thing is,the ducks want nothing to do with him,or any of the geese for that matter, geese have been extremely too aggressive with the ducks for too long now,and now olive oil wants to be friends, cannot see thsi working out.
