The American Cemani Breeders Club...open forum

I think this is the best forum for me to ask this question. I tried other places but only got "yea its a cross breed." But I want to know of what? I don't think it is a Ayam Cerami now because of reading some of these posts. I traded a red star hen for this black rooster. She had claimed she got it from a women in NY who said it wasn't a "perfect" bird because of its color. Although I am not interested in selling or showing I was just curious as to what this breed is even if the breeder said it was a Ayam Cerami, I highly doubt it... What your some of your thoughts?

His name is Shadow.
Any input would be helpful.
Thank you

Now I'm curious - where in NY did you get it? I wonder if it's the cull bird I gave to a woman who desperately needed a chick because she had a lone hatchling. Wouldn't that be crazy? That sure would prove it's a small world!

Even if it's not mine, I'd say he could definitely be pure, but he'd definitely be a cull and not a bird to be used to breed. If he is from me of course I know for sure he's pure - my breeders came from Greenfire and CJWaldon here, so no crosses there.

I just have him hanging out in my flock enjoying himself with the other rooster he came with. I'm glad I found this forum, I just wanted to get to the bottom of what he was. So thank you

Well if you ever have any cull hens that are not good for breeding stock, I live in Cornwall. I would love some ladies for him and his EE rooster bud because my Wyandotte and astralorp roos don't like them very well and are alone. Would love some more layer anyways. Mine are all getting to be old biddies.

seriously, that's an awesome story guys
