Don't waste your time Buy A R-Con Incubator its idiot proof So Simple I can use it. Here is the link were I buy mine from shes the cheapest and the nicest and she ships fast her name is Ingrid shes located in florida www.AIBrooderIncubator.com She is the best r-con dealer out there. If I ever needed something she would cut me a big break on the cost or send it to me free and pay for the shipping also. Her is a picture of mine with 20 ayam cemani eggs in there now. I have two of them going, should have bought the 50 egg one. I have over 40 ayam cemani eggs in the incubator now. Goto youtube and search r-con incubators and see how easy they are to use and how effective they are. I have to foam ones after time mine has started to leak. I also use brinsea egg disenfectent in the distilled water I add to the r-con incubator. Set It and don't worry about. It will be the last incubator you buy.
See the digital settings so simple this monkey can use it lol. You say 160 a egg there 20 ayam eggs do the math, lol.

I second the RCom. I use the RCom 20 Pros (the ones with the programs) but the standard one works just as well. The difference between the Pro and the standard is the Pro is fully automatic and adjusts temp, humidity, turning angle, turning duration, etc. for each type of poultry. The standard one requires you to stop the turning and adjust the temp and humidity using the digital control panel.

Having said that, I also have Brinsea 20 Ecos and a couple of Genesis incubators. All produce excellent hatch rates. The RCom wins simply because it is the only incubator that I don't have to open up to add water and it is very easy to clean. Plus as I found out, if a chick hatches 4 days early, the chick does not get harmed by the turner as the would with any of the other incubators. I found a chick being rocked back and forth once. It didn't seem to mind but I turned the turner off manually just in case.

But since I am finding it cumbersome to run 4 or more incubators at once (all filled with Ayam Cemani eggs right now), I am in the process of buying a GQF Sportsman cabinet incubator.

Thats a $600 incubator!
Yikes!

What is your hatch rate with that big boy?
Almost 100% with the Pro version. The regular "Standard" Rcom 20 model has a very good rate but not as good as the Pro versions because it relies on you to remember to adjust things correctly.

The only time I don't have 100% is when the fertility is low due to the weather. I guess they "aren't in the mood" when it is 5 degrees outside.

Like I said, you can get just as good of results with the Brinsea 20 Eco and GQF Genesis. The problem with those models is that they require you to open them up (and disturb the eggs) to add water. I think that gives the Rcom incubators a huge advantage.

Put it this way, I am importing a new breed to the U.S. I am spending a fortune importing the eggs. The eggs will go into my Rcom 20 Pro just to eliminate any human errors once the incubation is underway.

Also, check out Amazon. I bought my first Rcom 20 Pro for $350 new in the box. Sometimes people buy them with the goal of creating a new business and then change their mind.

Are you going to be as nice as Mike and sell ayams to people from your line like Mike did?

I dont think Dale meant it that way...

As we all Know,
It is NOT rational to hope that we will ever get the same kind of deal that MIKE GAVE US... from anyone...

I believe the reason he sold them for so low was that he was just wanting to get The Cemani moving as a breed.
It worked...

AND I dont think mike will be selling again for a while...
and if he does, it will not be those prices...

Increadible....
I want one. I Must have one. I WILL OWN ONE!
The raw value of these eggs alone demands it.

However, right now, I am going to have to sale a few cemani birds (or eggs) to pay for it....
sooo, what would be my best bet leading up to that point...

I have incubated eggs in the past for fun, with only the"AGRI-Supply" Foam Incubators...
(hand turned... Crappy 60% success...)

I have almost all the parts to build the cooler-bater already,
the rest of the parts should run me less than $100 with an auto egg turner in it too.

What do you think?

Try the Brinsea 20 Eco first. I paid like $139 for it on Amazon. Brinsea's customer support is very good. You don't need the auto turner as the whole device turns (that's why it is an Ocatagon). Just don't use those metal egg dividers. I broke several $75+ English Orp eggs with those dividers before I switched to using an egg carton to hold the eggs.
