Everyone under the sun (including the people that already have the other lines) grabbed a pair from Mike's line when he put them up for $150. So Mike both set the market price for his line as well as flooded the market with his Cemani line. Almost every TM Astin line breeder bought a pair. I don't know all the Greeenfire line breeders but I assume the same is probably true. If they could afford to pay Greenfire's price, another $150 for a pair from Mike is just like a rounding error.
Steadfast, if you do decide to try rarebreedauctions.com make sure to crystal clear photographs. Go buy a new camera if you have to. That is a tough site to sell on. It's the same group of buyers every week on that site. And they are very experience buyers. Great photos that clearly show and demonstrate any coloration in the combs, wattles, or feathers will go a long way. Notice that there is one Cemani seller on there that never sells a single bird. That is because the seller tried to trick buyers with clearly photoshoped images. I buy all the time on that site and know a lot of the buyers. Even I won't sell on that site because I don't want to get dragged through the street. I prefer to sell local. Swaps are the place to sell without people tossing stones.
