Can I just peep in from the side line: I read the title as the anti-social media-club and was instantly excited, thinking I'd finally found a thread for introverted nerds...

Unless facebook counts, I'm not on any social media though, so I still feel safe to post. I think.

I realized my mistake and that it was in fact the anti social-media club. For one glorious moment I thought I'd found my comrades of non-people-liking movie-loving geeks. Haha!

I do have facebook yeah. 50 friends, mostly use it to message my parents and siblings, 'cause it's free. Sometimes post a picture of a chicken. And none of that touchy-screeny smart phony app-stuff.

Yeah I figured as much from your first post, those darn kids and their apps! I had to google Hangouts to find out what it was, so I think I'm in the clear...

I just recently found out what Hangouts was, actually. Then my BYC Troyer's buddies started talking about it....

Aww! It's hard being a self sustaining forum with all these social appie-things going around. So many new distractions people migrate to!
In all seriousness, (if I may), BYC is doing incredibly well as an independent site. I like how nice people are here!

I agree, and the staff do really well at keeping it completely family friendly. They take action quickly and are tight with the community, they are a good team.
i could see that happening, some people just can't keep to themselves, it get so annoying.
