"Phew!" Gerald said relieved. He stopped to think. "But where is it then?" he asked. He started feeling his mischievous self coming back, even though he was still scared.

Gerald smiled just a little. "What if, it's sneaking up behind you?" He asked Rusty letting his mischievous self take over now.

Rusty looked back at Gerald and cocked his head, he wasn't sure if that was supposed to be a joke or not. If so, that must be the worst one I've ever heard, He thought. Rusty might have cracked a smile if he hadn't caught sight of the leaf resting only a couple inches from Gerald's hind paws.

Gerald laughed loudly. "Your face! Your face!" He laughed as if it was the funniest joke on Earth. He backed up towards the leaf completely unaware that it was harmlessly waiting for him.

(I'm back! It's not too late. It's only 10:23. But hopefully I don't have to go soon. I've missed RPing with you.)

"The bird!" Said Rusty shivering as he stared with wide eyes at the leaf now only a couple centimeters from Gerald's paws. "It's behind you!"

Gerald laughed. "You can't play the same joke that I just played on you on me." He laughed. "You can't fool me that easily." Gerald still didn't have a clue that the leaf was sitting just behind his back paws.
