Hazel finished up and sat back down with Timmy. She tried to be gentle and quiet so he could sleep. She let out a small shiver. She didn’t like caves anymore, and she didn’t feel all that safe now that Timmy was trying to sleep.

Álfr watched him wearily, her dark eyes clouded with unease. She had an ear turned toward the two strangers but she kept her gaze on Blazer.

Owl watched the large bat at the top of the cave, wondering how no one else was bothered by it's pretense.

Hazel looked over at one of the wolves and noticed how it was watching something. She followed its gaze to the ceiling of the cave. She accidentally let out a small gasp. It was the bat.

Dreki saw the sun beginning to rise and started looking for a place to roost. He never had a set place in mind. He saw a waterfall with a cave behind it and dove in. In two flaps of his leathery wings, he was hanging from the ceiling of the cave, preening himself before going to sleep. He took little notice of the wolves in there.

Dreki's sensitive ears flicked toward her and he looked at her with his large eyes. His foxlike face cocked to one side.
