The Antler Mountains ~A Wolf RP~

Blazer stepped back in shock. He was getting defensive, but he decided now maybe wasn't the time. He didn't want to lose his mate and pups. He quickly tried coming up with something to say without giving too much information. "Anthony is a distant member of the pack and an old friend." Blazer said carefully. "He's, ah, keeping track of the prey and reporting to me about it." Blazer told Álfr, but didn't tell her what the 'prey' was.
Álfr growled lowly, she knew he was still keeping something from her, but she took a less aggressive posture, grateful he was saying anything at all, “What prey,” she asked, knowing full well Blazer didn’t care to track actual prey, that was her passion and job.

"Oh no." Blazer thought to himself. He was running out of things to say. He had already said 'prey', so if he changed it to anything else, he knew that Álfr would know he's not being completely honest. Thinking fast, he said, "Oh, just prey that's on the far side of the borders. Because Anthony travels there, he knows more of what's out there." He tried making himself as believable as possible, and hoped Álfr would buy it.

“Blazer, your tells are very obvious,” she said quietly, hurt that he was keeping anything from her, We’re mates, we shouldn’t have secrets, she thought sadly.

King woke up a few minutes later. Seeing Hilina in their den, he walked over to her. "What are you doing here?" He asked. "The wether's nice outside".
"Oh, I just got back." Hilina replied. She wanted to tell King about Hunter's scent, but wasn't sure if she should. She thought maybe telling Alexander, Hunter's brother.

Blazer nodded his head slightly. He wasn't quite sure what his mate said, but he hoped it meant that she believed him. He slightly felt bad inside for not telling her the whole truth, but yet, he was also slightly too fearful to do so. He sorta held his head low and waited on Álfr.

Álfr put her ears down sadly and walked slowly to the den, her tail hanging limply. She laid down with her pups and started cleaning them, glad they’d listened for once and hadn’t fought for the time being. She was hurt that he was keeping anything from her but she was also too tired and confused to push it further.

Whip, sensing her mothers distress, put a paw on her mums nose, which only got her a sad smile which confused her because Álfr usually laughed when she did that. She curled up against her mothers chest and watched the den entrance.

Holding himself low, Blazer walked towards the den slowly after Álfr had gone in. He was almost there when he stopped and looked around. His gaze met Alexander's, who had at some point came out of his den. Blazer was slightly wondering how much Alexander had heard of the conversation. Then Blazer noticed Alexander's hackles go up a little with a small grawl. Blazer raised his hackles a little and grawled a little too not realizing how close he was to the den. As he started towards Alexander, one of Alexander's pups came out of his den and stood by his father's legs. Knowing his pup there and Blazer approaching, Alexander lowered his head and grawled louder.

Gerald laid down looking towards the entrance. He wanted to go back out. He heard his father's grawl, so he stood up and took a step forward.

Álfr closed her eyes to the growling, she decided she wasn’t going to outwardly care anymore. She laid her ears flat on her head and laid down, trying to block out her own thoughts and Blazer growling.

Whip heard the growling and barreled outside ahead of her brother, she wanted to know what was going on.

Blazer grawled as he approached Alexander. He was expecting a fight or something, but Alexander stopped and got down low. Seeing that, Blazer stopped. "What do you want?" Blazer asked calming himself. Alexander had decided against trouble, especially because one of his pups was now by his side. "Just wondering if all you pups are ok." He said weekly and didn't say the real reason: he knew that Blazer wasn't telling Álfr the whole truth. "I found one in danger the other day. He was fine though." Alexander finished.

"Hey!" Gerald called and chased Whip outside.
