Hilina brought Laufen into the safety of the den. She gently sat him down and told him to stay there and that she'd be back soon. As she went out, she stopped by Jezza. To her, Jezza didn't look upset about what had happened, though she sensed that her daughter was probably just hiding it. "You need to stay in the den," Hilina told Jezzabelle softly and watching her carefully.

Hilina gave Jezza a stare that said she'd better listen, then she rushed out to get some help for Laufen.

Sofia went over to Laufen and whimpered. "Oh! Oh! You got hurt badly! Jezza, look what you caused happen to Laufen!"

Laufen sniffed Sofia’s familiar scent, turning his head away from Jezzabelle. “Yeah, well, she decided to go out of the den anyway.” Sofia could tell there was an obvious resentment for Jezza’s actions in Laufen’s eyes.

Sofia looked at Jezzabelle, then back at Laufen. "Are you ok?" She whispered to him.

“I would be if Jezz hadn’t run off.” Laufen muttered quietly. He put his head on his left paw, his right still bleeding some. “She’d better not do it again.” He had seen the rebellious look in her eyes and was worried that she’d try and run off again. “So far being the oldest is the worst.” He moaned.

Sofia whimpered. She didn't like how Laufen looked. "I hope she doesn't." She looked towards the outside. "And I hope mommy comes back soon."

Sofia nodded her head agreeing. She laid down and watched her brother.

A few minutes later, Hilina returned. When she came in, another wolf was following her. It was an adult male, though not a large one. "Where is he?" The male asked with concern in his voice as he sat something down that he was carrying.

Laufen’s ears flattened. “Mom..” he said, looking at the large wolf who had entered. “Who’s this?”
