This is the thread to ask anything related to genetics to me. I have Asperger's syndrome. I have poor social skills and can't understand sarcasm so science/numbers/genetics have come very easy to understand.

For that to work the female's shank must be light colored(white or yellow) and it work best with Silkie over any light colored shank females as Cemani cleary have melanin boosters that inhibit the dermal inhibitor found in light shank females

If you cross a Silkie rooster with a dark shank breed then All of the chicks will have dark skin. For example Silkie Araucana cross

Okay. So breeding pheonixes to a dark skinned male wouldn't work? I forget which legs they have, but they're either slate, blue or green. That makes their actual skin dark too even if the mother has the normal skin color under her feathers?
