It shouldn't be too hard.

The fastest way to get light legs back:
Start with OEGB male and dark-legged female. All daughters should have light legs. Use them to cross back to OEGB, and all later generations should be pure for light legs. (Sons of this first cross will show light legs, but carry dark legs: Id/id+ So it's easier if you cull them and work with their sisters.)

If you start with a dark-legged male and OEGB female, or if you need to keep a son in the first generation, it will take a bit longer to get rid of the dark legs. I don't feel like typing up all the possibilities, but if you know you will be doing the cross a specific direction, or keeping a specific gender for continued breeding, I can list out what would happen with the leg color.

id+ is on the Z sex chromosome.
A hen only has one Z chromsome. Either she has id+ or she does not, but she cannot hide anything. She gets that Z chromosome from her father, and passes it to her sons. (Because W goes mother to daughter.)

A rooster has ZZ, so he could have 0, 1, or 2 copies of id+

Tracking it through the male/female generations is just like a logic puzzle.
Thanks for this. It's helpful.

I forgot to reply back yesterday. I've been so tired lately.
I've been working on taming a Feral Kitten, & we're making progress. Just needs too stop waking us up at 3Am for more food. That kitty needs to pick a better time to want a refill on food, I'm not an early morning person.

Obvious suggestion-- put out the food before you go to bed. Or a bigger dish of food, if you've already been doing that. (Unless there is a reason to avoid free-feeding with this kitten. I know it does not work for all cats.)

The kitten is free fed. Just decides to finish its food early in the morning before demanding a refill.

Then that's easy to fix. Just provide more food before bedtime (top up the bowl, or use a bigger bowl, or two bowls, or whatever it takes to provide as much as it wants to eat all night.)
We do that. But giving a bigger dish we will do. Hopefully a bigger bowl will solve the problem.

I've got a Transverse Pencilled EE chick by crossing Gold/Silver Split Birchen Rooster with Blue Partridge hen.
The chick looks like a Gold Campine, or Golden Death layer.

Here's the parents.

If it's not Transverse Penciling, then I'm not sure what it could be. She's replacing stripey feathers with stripey feathers.
