I hatched a chick that is CCL x blue Australop. It has a very distinct headspot even though it’s a cross. I can’t help but wonder if it’s a male, but maybe since it’s a cross breed it has no significance. What do you guys think?

If mother was CCL, it's male. If father was CCL, both sexes will have a head spot

In chicken breeding/Genetics when the fist breed is listed that means its the Rooster so if that the case All chicks will be half barred(females can only have a single cooy)

50% of the chicks will hatch Blue Barred and 50% Black Barred(Half Barred). The chick in the picture seem to be a pullet
