Total side note.... but he almost looks like the Redcaps... wrong leg color though. Probably wouldn't get one of those at a feed store so that's probably not what he is. But just a thought!

He was sold as a speckled sussex female day old chick.
I posted a thread a few months ago asking what he was and the best answer was hatchery quality dark Cornish.
I had to Google redcaps cuz I'd never heard of them and they are neat looking!
