I wonder is ‘A chicken in broody jail’ a chicken in a comfortable nest?
I thought it had to be a chicken in a wire cage. To break her broodiness.

For the next hunt and to keep things going I would like to se either of them. A caged chicken or gamefowl.

I thought broody jail meant a hen in a nest inside a cage (so they're separate from the flock) but now that I actually think about it, your probably right.
