Never minds, but how do I know if my picture is RAW?

l always download and take my photos RAW. And I don't edit them. Some people take them in JPEG. It says RAW for a RAW photo, on an iphone. I wish the screenshot could attach, but the wifi here is horrible. I was referring to a photo taken on a digital camera, that is taken RAW, and never edited. Sorry, didn't realize this was so complicated.

Basically a photo that is taken RAW and never edited. A JPEG is a type of compressed file, making the file smaller, but also less detailed. Theres nothing wrong with JPEG or an edited photo, I just always take my photos RAW and was wondering if thats what most people do. I don't have to resources to edit them, nor do I really want to.

Sorry for not understanding, but I never ever edit my pictures. How would I know if it’s raw? (On a digital camera)
