I chatted with her she is picking up some hens this evening. (I offered 2 year olds, I don't keep some of my hens past 2) They are egg layers, and I said she cannot eat them. She said she won't. she is also getting my current rooster, who is very nice, but I cannot hold him like I would want. They don't plan on eating him. The have a heated coop.

I offered more roosters to eat, she didn't say, but I might pack them too. As far as the babies I will talk to her more before she gets them, if she does, and I may wait till the end of this month.

I am not moving too fast, I have other current layers for me.

It has been very cold here lately, I decided not to give away the birds until the weather warms up, I didn't want them going to a new place cold.

It has been cold, but the birds are all doing well, running about the brooder, no one is just sitting there, they all seem to think they have jobs to do. The boys are all still very boyish, the questionable ones seem to be girls. 5 weeks and 2 days now.

Here's the 32 chicks. 6 weeks old today! can you spot "Peawee"?. They a have 10'x10' pen, but hover about the food dishes.

They are eating out of silverware tray. that way they don't kick the food around too much. Below I like the SLW, and BO

This weekend I will be giving some of the boys from this group to a good hard working poor family and keep the girls and some of the bachelor chicks, I will be picking a rooster from that group. Who are the stand outs? BO, Australorp, and maybe SLW boys.
