The BANTAM ORPINGTON Thread

Here is a guy if anyone is interested (about 28 weeks old?). I have his sister and mother, so really don't want to inbreed so closely He is about the same size as my Silkie cockerels.

Pretty little Black pullet, around 5 months old.

Is there any possible way that something jumped the fence for that one?  I have had some blacks both in Bantam and Large Fowl that have yellow tips when born but 1 - never that much yellow and 2 - no legs ever that color.  One thing about chicks though...no matter what, they are still adorable.  Here is an off topic pic I just loaded this morning....

Our Bantam Menace laid her 1st egg, and boy are we proud! It's been 6 days, and she made 5 eggs! They're small but very frequent. My full size Orps & Cream Legbars haven't started laying yet. We almost didn't keep this one b/c she's our only bantam. Her small size doesn't stop her from anything. Hard to believe we were wearing shorts less than a week ago. Might get some flurries or frost this weekend.
About how big do bantam Orphingtons get?

Mine is an English Bantam Orpington. She's extra fluffy & looks almost the size of my smallest LF Easter Egger. Most of her size is fluff.
Here's a pic of her next to a regular (American) Orpington. She's molting a bit, but normally looks like a mini basketball. She doesn't seem to know she's a bantam & has always gotten along with the flock.

Oh she is so cute! Thanks for the picture reference, gives me a good idea with size!
