The BANTAM ORPINGTON Thread

Anyone getting any eggs from their Orpington Bantams?

We have started lights etc but still getting very few eggs.

We placed the Best of Breed (Junior) at Crossroads with a Splash male and the Black male with a Dick Hortsman's Blue and Splash hens. The Blacks are from Majestic Lane. Not sure of the orgin of the Splash. He came from the Superior Farms sell out.

We also have two LF Blue orpington breeding pens set up. Pen #1 has a Blue hen and a Cecil Moore Black male. Pen #2 has a Blue male and a Cecil Moore Black hen. The Blues have several lines in them.

He was a deep golden, but has been bleached by the sun.
