Are Bantam Orps more likely to go broody than their larger counterpart?

I say about the same. I have std buffs and black bantams and both are in the breaking up pen about all the time.

I plan to outcross to American birds, if necessary, but I will always breed my Chocs to the UK standard.

I love the little round cocoa puffs! LOL.

OSUman, how is your project coming along? The pictures you posted of your 50% birds awhile back were nice.

Project is going ok, wish my hens were laying so I could start setting eggs again.

I got a few that have been crossed with American blacks, but these English birds are just so beautiful who would want to mess them up.
I was actually doing it to add a little new blood to them & breeding back to the English side,
I like them the way they are, but I guess to get them to the SOP we will have to breed the other way, but I will never part with my English birds, LOVE EM !!!!!!!

Heres one of my cockerels that I will probably end up selling. Hes black split to choc, but he has more fluff then the chocs that I will be keeping.
