The pointed a finger at her. "You failed to mention Druin to me. I am head of security for the Ambassador. An aggressive ex that stalks you..... ring a bell? He had to have been snooping around for a while because he called me a 'wife killer'. Something he could have only known by listening to us. He acted like I was a Rival. I would have been watching out for him had I known. He could have endangered Vellora.... and he obviously was a danger to you." He shook his head. "You need to quit pretending to be so tough, acting like you don't need anyone." His voice was calming down. "I can see right through that shell Callabine. You're just hurting yourself." He grabbed the door knob.

Callabine shrugged. "I am allowed to have a private life. I had no idea that he was still following me. And he probably hacked into your files, it's something he's very good at. It's probably the reason why he could find me. And don't flatter yourself by thinking that he was treating you like a Rival. He treated everyone like that."

Collia suddenly exploded. "You leave her alone!" She wrapped a protective wing around Ginger.

"I don't think it's a good idea for her to be with you. You certainly weren't like this before."

"Before what, Tosk?!" Collia's eyes narrowed to icy blue slits. "If I want to be around Ginger, I will! C'mon, Ginger, let's go!" She got up and walked out of her quarters, flinging a piece of paper into Sandie's face as she and Ginger left.

Tosk raised his hand and Collia and Ginger were lifted off the floor and pulled back into the room. "Before you turned cold. You aren't acting like yourself, and you are pushing away the people who care about you."

"Care about me?" Collia echoed his words, "Tosk, have you gone yoicks? You and your stupid group leave me out of everything!"

"You're always ordering her around," Ginger piped up, "and she is sick of it!"

"Druin wouldn't share the information he found. I know how he did things. He would have taken revenge on me for leaving him and then if I wasn't beaten and submissive enough he would have released the names of the targets, one at a time, until I stopped fighting. Now please get out of my house. I don't like spending time with people who make assumptions about me."
