Timmy Squared seems to have abandoned the nest days before hatch 😭 I grabbed the eggs, Betty, and popped her in the broody box with them. She happily pancaked on them immediately, so let’s hope everyone goes according to plan! Incubator is already running and I hope I wasn’t too late
Fingers crossed!!!

Betty is a mommy!!!! All safe and sound under her fluffilicious self is the bittiest porcelain D’uccle you ever did see! She’s making such happy mama hen sounds, very pleased with herself. Hopefully she’ll debut the little bean soon for pics 🤞🏼 One last egg was still viable from that batch, then I’m not sure what to do with the other eggs from Timmy’s nest. Give them back probably if Betty decides to move on with the two chicks

My frazzle Peach is making some wonderful progress on the feather regrowth!

Also; what I deal with on a daily basis. My hens and their babies insist on digging out the underside of their coop so that the children might see freedom... It feels as if the hens are active plotters against me in the scheme of letting their offspring take over my yard and run amok.

My girl Peach, fully feathered out again and super curly!

My reds are some of the snuggliest birds I've ever owned. Peach used to have a long time habit of snuggling against my legs when I was in the coop, and I’d even take her inside on cold nights. She has resumed it, and some of the little bitties running around the coop are taking after her.

Finally; my oldest pullet, who i still think is stunning. Her comb and wattles have been reddening lately, but I’m still fairly confident she is a she. It took her parents a long time to lay, so I have a few doubts that this is her hitting maturity, but time will tell.
