Thank youShe’s beautiful!
Me too. Just out of curiosity, do any of you all have experience with neurological disorders in ducks? I have a special needs Ancona named Mushroom. Her eye sight is very limited and like I said, I believe she has brain issues. I know there’s nothing I can do to change this, but I love her more than ever inspite of it. But I’m just wondering what causes these disorders. You can almost tell just by looking at her.I like those kind![]()
Thank you! She has never been injured as far as I know, I got her from a breeder when she was around 2-3 weeks old, so I’m guessing she’s had these disorders since birth. Possibly inbreeding? Or hereditary as you suggested. Sometimes I wonder if that’s why the breeder was so willing to give her away, but I’ve felt blessed to have her since day one. She’s adorable. Other than b complex liquid which can help ducklings get over neurological and leg lameness issues I don’t know. Maybe it comes from Heredity incubation or both? Injury?
It’s almost like her eyes are always dilated. Also, sometimes she’ll run into me without realizing it. Sometimes things don’t seem to register too. She still is a very happy little duck, she just has a few neurological disorders from what I’ve seen. She really is beautiful. What are her symptoms?
