The BEST ever Christmas present EVER discussion

Yes, but i can move it outside the workshop weather permitting or use it in the garage. It is small enough i can lift it. I need a new mitre saw, or mine needs adjusting. It doesn't cut all the way through any more. I make custom signs with woodburning. I have some slabs that have bark on one side so i want to rip down the rounded side to make boards. And of course i make my own rabbit cages out of mostly scrap wood. Not perfect but the rabbits don't care.
I love that pantry sign. Great work!

So a chop saw and miter saw are the same thing, I've learned, right? I just figured out how to unlock the rotating table and set it to zero. But the tilt angle won't budge. There must be a magic button somewhere, but I'll be darned if I can find it.

Here is the brooder:

YouTube solved my problem. I needed to use a towel wrapped around a handle and a hammer to loosen a lever. Geesh.

But I made my first cuts. The blade cuts out two millimeters of wood, so I'll have to account for that when making precision cuts for detailed work.

Best Christmas present would be an engagement ring. :) We'd already gotten married by that point, but the ring my husband proposed with was a family heirloom and not my style (very plain band). So for Christmas he had the stone re-set in a setting that I really liked.
