After using many different waterers for my chickens. I designed this for ease of use, and to have my chickens have clean water. I got tired of having to haul water and clean out the waterers every day. If you've had chickens you know what I mean.
Nipple valves clog, watering cups get dirty and don't provide cool fresh water, bell waterers are terrible.... Most true automatic waterers cost a fortune!
Don't waste your time cleaning and filling old style, unsanitary bird waterers.
Save your time for other projects.
Enjoy the peace of mind knowing that your birds have clean water 24/7.
Designed for birds, young and old.
This easy solution really works;
The chicken sticks its' head through the hole to drink so no foot muck gets in the water. I've sold many if these and everyone loves them. I have this waterer and I clean it out about 2 times a year. Since there is actually only about 3" of water in this reservoir, it's also water conserving and insures fresh water constantly.. You can easily adjust the water level to as low as 1" to up to 10".
Think about all the water wasted, and the mess created from cleaning out an open pan of water every day. This uses a special float valve to replenish water as the birds drink. Hooks up to a standard garden hose. It's simple. If you will be out of town for a trip no worries, your birds will have fresh water without having anyone check on them!
Mine is placed on a few bricks to keep it off the ground, so they won't 'scratch' dirt into it, and the weight of the water keeps it stable.
Here is a video of a 2.5 gallon bucket set up in use;
