My sister-in-law will not eat anything I have processed. Eggs are ok, but not chicken now that she knows I took care of mine.
Last year when I had 5 roosters, she actually told me that if I killed any of them we would have to "re-evaluate" our friendship.
So I managed to give them away.
This year I never told her about the Cornish X birds I had, when I decided to mention it to her, knowing my DH would not keep quiet (he is to honest). So, She wrote back and made the comment or "its ok, you are a farmer. Please, just don't give me any". So I think I've made a great bit of head way in a year! lol.
Hope next year she'll try some! lol. I have no idea why folks are like that. It does taste different, it will have a diff texture etc, but its such a high grade of quality meat that was treated more humanely then what there cousins would ever know. That is enough for me- oh, and if you have seen me, I don't need another growth hormone in my food!!!!!
