There is a line of Self Blue that is bred solely from Splash. They look just like a Self Blue (Bl w/no lacing) and/ or a Self Blue (Lav) but will breed like a Splash.

Self Blue (bb Splash) to Self Blue(bb Splash) = 100% bb Splash

Chris

I believe this is what you have in mind.. wich is a blue andalucian without lacing

It's hard to say, if it would breed like a Self Blue as in (bb) Splash to (bb) Splash = 100% bb Splash then yes.

Nothing.. Blue(Bl/bl) does not have any effect on Lacing on the Extended Black allele...

edit.
on Splash? well they will be like normal Splash

Andalusian Blue (with lacing) also has Co Pg Ml to make the lacing. When breeding Bl x Bl, I can see where the lacing will be "hidden" in the 25% Black. But what hides the lacing in the 25% Splash?

The lacing is very dark Blue that looks Black so when you breed Bl to Bl you remove the Blue lacing just like the Blue color throughout the body.

I sold her but wanted to share some pics of my Araucana hen, LuvDove. She produced pullets that looked just like her and I've sold some and have a couple I'm holding on to right now. I have no idea of her parents colors. Any ideas regarding her color? I have several regular blue Araucana's as well.

Lovey had a full tail and had very pale skin or else I would have kept her but I did keep a couple of her chicks. The Araucana is supposed to have yellow skin and if she should have had willow or swarthy legs with yellow soles. I have been interested in her because of the chicks she produced, I have 2 pullets that are splash looking so I know she's some sort of blue but they have willow and yellow legs and are rumpless so I may keep these two.

A couple of her chicks that I have now (she has produced pullets that was identical to her in color but not tufted and rumpless) She also produces chicks with her trademark dark stripe on her upper beak. I think that's cool
